Arbor was built because that gap is real and it matters. During years working in high-stakes, public-facing communications, social media strategy, and messaging — including a firsthand experience running for office — our founder saw the same pattern repeat itself. Organizations doing genuinely important work were being drowned out by louder, faster, more culturally fluent voices. Not because their mission was wrong, but because their communications hadn't evolved.
The modern communication landscape moves fast. Social media, AI, and cultural commentary have fundamentally shifted how audiences receive and respond to messaging. Arbor exists to make sure mission-driven organizations move with it — so the work that deserves attention actually gets it.

Haile McAnally
Founder & Principal
Haile McAnally founded Arbor Communications after years working across political communications, social media strategy, and public-facing messaging. During that time — including a firsthand experience running for office — she developed a deep understanding of how attention works, why some messages land and others don't, and what separates organizations that stay relevant from those that fall behind.
She built Arbor because she saw a market gap that no one was filling: nonprofits and advocacy organizations doing meaningful work, but communicating like the landscape hadn't changed. Her approach centers on cultural intelligence, message discipline, and data — and on being as invested in her clients' missions as they are.
